According to the report by Taiwan DM Association, there are 150 million diabetes patients in the world. And, as estimated, there will be increased to double, about 300 million diabetic patients in the world.
It was reported by Miss Chang in 2010 that, on average, the population of diabetic patients keeps increasing 25,000 per year.
Diabetic patients in the world are still quickly increasing.
3: Diabetics Patients Having Lots of Troubles
Diabetic patients will have more and more troubles.
In 2009 Miss Shi reported that Dr. Dai reminded me of diabetes that if you got diabetes then it will go through with you all your life. The patient needs to make good management of health such as taking chemical drugs, diet and exercise all his life.
In 2014 Mr. Huang reported that Minister Chieu said that if diabetic patients make poor control of blood glucose, then they will get pathological changes such as Kidney lesions, heart attack, apoplexy, diabetic retinopathy, and cardiovascular disease, etc., companion disease. The year 2012, Mr. Ouyang reported that there is 92.4 million diabetes in China, and they are incurable. ... Director Yang said that diabetes are 366 million in 2011, and, in estimating, they will increase to 522 million in 2030 all over the world. The prevalence of diabetes in China for nearly 10 years is significantly increasing. Diabetes and its' pathological changes give our society a heavy burden.

The cost of treating diabetes is 4.3 times than normal people. Healthcare expenses for diabetes spent 1/9 in total, And one-fourth of it was used to treat diabetic complications.
